The CardBuild® System Can
Best be Described
as:
"A high performance
race car in the hands of a highly experienced and intelligent
driver."
The reason our
CardBuild® System can perform so well is the combined abilities
of our uniquely modified motor power converter and our
sophisticated embedded controller. The system accurately
assesses operating data on a real time basis over the full rod
stroke.
This unique
capability permits fine tuning anywhere in the rod stroke, not
simply at a few positions. Extraneous and harmful tension
disturbances can have their rate of change decreased. This
allows aggressive pump displacement programs without
causing equipment problems.
CardBuild® Systems
have accumulated hundreds of thousands of hours of successful
performance in oilfields using sophisticated algorithms and
user-friendly interface and setup techniques.
The CardBuild® System
works reliably, effectively and efficiently!
The CardBuild® Control System:
- Controls motor speed and rod tension accurately and
responsively.
- Protects the motor (and the control itself) from any
combination of high ambient temperature and overload without
shutting down.
- Produces very low levels of harmonic current and
voltage, complying with IEEE 519 standards. Controller
produces reactive power when desired, rather than consuming
it, thereby increasing grid power factor and reducing need
for power factor correction capacitors. These features make
our system extremely friendly to power grids which can be
very beneficial when many AC Drives are used.
- Is packaged in a cabinet that is suitable for oilfield
environments and high ambient temperatures without special
cooling or air conditioning. The cabinet can be free
standing or pole mounted.
The CardBuild® Controller:
- Is self-contained in the power converter cabinet.
Interface for changing settings and monitoring operation is
on the front of the cabinet.
- Has overriding compensation for conditions where SPM and
polished rod tension fluctuations are detected. This
operates over the entire stroke, whether the condition is
recurring or transient.
- Has controlled shutdown sequences and alarms for
conditions that exceed acceptable limits.
- Has remote interface and communication capability.
